"PM Modi will arrive on June 12 at 2:30 pm for the swearing-in ceremony. The swearing-in ceremony will take place at 5:00 pm. There will be a BJP legislature meeting tomorrow."

Asked if he was in the race to be the CM face, he said, "BJP's parliamentary board will take a decision...No one in BJP is in the race (for the chief minister's post)...Observers will arrive tomorrow."

Former Union Minister and BJP MP from Balasore Pratap Chandra Sarangi said that the Central Observers will elect the next Chief Minister of Odisha tomorrow.

"Union ministers and central observers, Rajnath Singh and Bhupendra Yadav, will chair the first BJP MLA meeting at the party headquarters in Bhubaneswar on June 11 at 4:30 pm. The central observers are expected to elect the leader of the party's legislature party in Odisha. " He said.Earlier on Sunday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had appointed Union Ministers Rajnath Singh and Bhupendra Yadav as central observers for the appointment of the Chief Minister of Odisha.

The decision was announced by BJP national general secretary Arun Singh in an official release on Sunday.

"The Parliamentary Board of the Bharatiya Janata Party has appointed Rajnath Singh, Union Minister of the Government of India and Bhupendra Yadav, Union Minister of the Government of India, as Central Observers for the election of the Leader of the Legislative Assembly of the Party in Odisha." The release was read.

Biju Janata Dal suffered defeat at the hands of Bharatiya Janata Party in the Odisha Assembly elections, ending Naveen Patnaik's 24-year-old rule.

Bharatiya Janata Party got 78 seats in the 147-seat assembly.BJD got 51 seats, far short of the majority mark of 74, and Indian National Congress got 14 seats.

Even in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP performed well by securing 20 of the 21 parliamentary seats in the state; Congress won the remaining one seat.
