Mumbai, Alia Bhatt's upcoming film "Jigra" has been postponed and will now release in theaters on October 11, Dharma Productions announced on Thursday.

"Jigra", which is her first collaboration with filmmaker Vasan Bala, was earlier scheduled to release on September 27.

"An arduous journey to protect...your Jigra! Starring Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina - #Jigra will hit the theaters on October 11, 2024," Dharma Productions posted on Instagram.

The banner announcement came after the makers of Telugu superstar Jr NTR's "Devra" revealed that the much-awaited pan-India film will release on September 27.

Starring "The Archies" actor Vedang Raina, "Jigra" is backed by filmmaker Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and Bhatt's Eternal Sunshine Productions.

Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Bhatt and Somen Mishra are credited as producers of the upcoming project.

Billed as a high-octane action drama set in India's forgotten coastal lands, "Devra" is a two-part epic from filmmaker Koratala Siva. The first part of the film, titled "Devra: Part 1", was set to be released in theaters on 10 October.

The pan-India film also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan.

The official X page of "Devra" shared the new release date of the film.

"Warning notices are being sent to all coasts about his imminent arrival. The man of the masses."

@Tarak9999's #Devara in theaters from 27th September,” the post read.

The film is produced by Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts, and presented by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram.
