Sultanpur (UP): A bogie of a Varanasi-bound goods train caught fire at the Sultanpur railway station here, an official said on Monday. There is no information about any casualty in the case.

Sultanpur Railway Junction Superintendent VK Gupta said that there was an uproar on the Varanasi-Lucknow track on Sunday night when smoke was seen coming out from a bogie of a goods train.

The train coming from Panipat, Haryana was immediately stopped at the platform of Sultanpur railway station and the fire brigade was called, which brought the fire under control.

The train was carrying coal.

Gupta said he was informed by local staff that smoke was coming from the 12th wagon of the engine.
