New Delhi [India], Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav described the party's victory in Ayodhya (Faizabad Lok Sabha constituency) as "a victory for the democratic understanding of mature voters".

Speaking during the debate on the motion of thanks on President Draupadi Murmu's address on Tuesday, the SP chief said, "Victory in Ayodhya is the victory of the democratic understanding of mature voters. Hoye wahi jo Ram Rachi Rakha (It is Lord Ram's) decision." )."

Akhilesh Yadav also addressed the ongoing concerns regarding Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).

“I did not trust EVMs even yesterday, I do not trust them even today,” he said, adding, “The EVM issue is not over.”

The SP chief questioned the central government regarding the ongoing controversy regarding the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET).

Akhilesh Yadav said, "Why are the papers being leaked? The truth is that the government is doing this so that it does not have to give jobs to the youth."

Speaking on Agniveer Yojana and caste census, Akhilesh Yadav said, "We are in favor of caste census. We can never accept Agniveer Yojana. When Bharat Alliance comes to power, Agniveer Yojana will be scrapped. MSP has not been implemented on legally guaranteed crops, MSP should be given on horticulture crops also.
