Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], Hockey India on Friday announced the probable group of 40-players for the upcoming Junior Men's National Coaching Camp starting from June 16 at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) in Bengaluru. The camp follows the Indian junior men's team's European tour, where they played five matches against Belgium, Germany and Netherlands club team Bredze Hockey Vereeniging Pushp from May 20 to May 29.
During the tour, India won 2–2 (4–2 SO) against Belgium in their first game, but lost 2–3 against the same opponent in the second match. They suffered a close 5–4 defeat against Bredze Hockey Vereeniging. Against Germany, India lost 2–3 in the first game but won 1–1 (3–1 SO) in the return match, which was also the final game of the tour.The upcoming camp, led by coach Janardhan CB and under the supervision of Hermann Kruis, High Performance Director, Hockey India, will run for 63 days, ending on August 18. The group includes five goalkeepers: Prince Deep Singh, Bikramjit Singh, Adarsh G, Ashwani Yadav and Ali Khan.
Mohit Karma, Mohammad are forward in the camp. Zaid Khan, Mohd. Konan Dad, Saurabh Anand Kushwaha, Arjit Singh Hundal, Gurjot Singh, Prabhdeep Singh, Dilraj Singh, Arshdeep Singh and Gursevak Singh.
The defenders include Sharda Nand Tiwari, Aamir Ali, Manoj Yadav, Sukhwinder, Rohit, Yogember Rawat, Anmol Ekka, Prashant Barla, Akash Sorong, Sundaram Rajawat, Anand Y and Talem Priyo Barta.
Midfielders who will be part of the camp are Bipin Bilwara Ravi, Vachan HA, Ankit Pal, Roshan Kujur, Mukesh Toppo, Hrithik Kujur, Thounaojam Inglemba Luwang, Thokchom Kingson Singh, Ankush, Jeetpal, Chandan Yadav, Manmeet Singh and Govind Nag.
