New Delhi [India], RJD leader Manoj Kumar Jha on Thursday, referring to the stampede at a religious program in Hathras, said that India has become a country prone to accidents.

"In the past years, so many committees were formed after such accidents... no one will discuss this in a day or two. I know this country has become a country plagued by accidents. Accidents keep happening here every day," he said. Said.

Jha further questioned whether the local administration was aware of the incident and claimed that the state government's action was only superficial and all the committee formation and compensation was just a sham for the general public.

"Anyone can preach in the name of religion in this country. Was the local administration of the city not aware about the crowd? Crowd management is a basic component and was no thought given to it? A committee was formed. , giving compensation of Rs 2 lakh--all this is just lip service,” he said.

He further said that those who lost their lives in those accidents will not get their lives back through compensation.

He also said that the people who lost their lives belong to the lower class of the society and their count is just a statistic for the administration, as they are not worried about losing their lives there.

"We should question the administration on this matter so that such incidents do not happen in future... But I know they will not care. These people who lost their lives are from the lower class and they are counted as just one." For them, mere figures 127...126...that's the end of the story," he said.

At present, six people have been arrested in the case related to the stampede and a reward of Rs 1 lakh has also been announced by the police for the arrest of the main accused Prakash Madhukar.
