MUMBAI: Bhavesh Bhinde, director of an advertising company whose company had put up a huge hoarding in Mumbai that collapsed and killed 16 people, was brought to the city early Friday, a police officer said.

Bhinde, Director of M/s Ego Media Pvt. Ltd. The advertising agency Ltd, which had recently put up the billboard of the Monda that crashed in suburban Ghatkopar in the evening, was nabbed from Udaipur in Rajasthan on Thursday, he said.

The officer said that after this Bhinde was taken to Ahmedabad and from there he was brought by flight to Mumbai.

He said the police team along with Bhinde reached Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport around 5 am and he was taken to the crime branch office.

“He will be produced in court later in the day,” he said.

He said that after chasing Bhinde for three days, the city police arrested him from Udaipur on Thursday.

A 120 feet x 120 feet hoarding fell on a nearby petrol pump in Ghatkopar's Chhedanagar area during strong winds and heavy unseasonal rains, killing 16 people and injuring 75 others.
