Patan (Gujarat): Four people died on the spot and two were injured when a state transport bus and a truck collided in the early hours of Friday in Patan district of Gujarat. Police gave this information.

Patan district superintendent of police Ravindra Patel said, the accident occurred around 2 am near Khari bridge in Radhanpur city.

The bus carrying some passengers was going from Anand towards Kutch, the SP said, when the truck was coming from the opposite direction.

“The road where the accident took place is narrow. Those killed in the collision included the driver and conductor of the bus and the driver and cleaner of the truck. Two (bus) passengers sustained minor injuries and were referred to a hospital in Patan,” he said.

The driver and cleaner of the truck have not been identified yet, while the police have named the other two deceased as Kanuji and Lalabhai Thakor.
