Kochi: Popular film director Joshi's Panampilly Nagar residence was burgled last night, police said on Saturday. Police said the CCTV footage shows a lone thief entering the house at around 1:30 am.
Police said that as per initial reports, gold jewelery and diamonds worth around Rs crore were stolen.
"CCTV footage shows that the thief entered the house through the kitchen door," a police officer said.
Police said the director and some of his family members were at home when an unknown person entered the house and took away jewelery from a cupboard on the second floor.
Police said CCTV visuals are being examined.
Meanwhile, TV channels showed visuals of a man wearing a cap attempting to enter the house.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
