Speaking to the media, Bommai launched a scathing attack and alleged that Congress MLAs had also turned against party leaders.

"MLAs feel very shy in facing the people, because there are no funds for MLAs. The administration has gone bad, officials are not listening to the government, and it has reached a point where no one can question. Can you tell us exactly whether there is any government in the state,” Bommai claimed.

“There is truth in the statement of BJP MP Govind Karjol regarding discontent among state Congress MLAs. Govind Karjol is a senior BJP leader with many years of political experience and a seasoned politician. “He speaks with full knowledge,” Bommai alleged.

Earlier, participating in a massive protest rally from the BJP office to the AC office in Davangere city, Bommai alleged that the state Congress had passed the burden of the price hike on the poor and the common people.

“By increasing the prices of petrol, diesel and other essential commodities he has lost his moral right to rule. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah should resign.

Criticizing the state government, he claimed that it has been adopting anti-poor and anti-common man policies for the last one year.

He accused the government of pushing the state into economic bankruptcy and pushing Karnataka back by 10 years.

“To win votes, the government has burdened the poor in the name of guarantees, resulting in a debt burden of Rs 1.05 lakh crore on the people of the state. Initially, he increased motor tax, liquor prices and stamp duty. Now, they have increased the prices of petrol and diesel. This government has no moral right to rule the state.
