Panchkula (Haryana), Haryana's Kiran Pahal qualified for the Paris Olympics in the women's 400m event by clocking 50.92 seconds in the semi-finals of the ongoing National Inter-State Athletics Championships here on Thursday.

The qualifying mark in women's 400 meters was 50.95 seconds, crossing which Kiran was successful in securing her place in next month's Games.

This was her best timing this season and she also became the second Indian woman to clock under 51 seconds.

She finished ahead of Gujarat's Davy Aniba Zala, who finished second with a timing of 53.44, while Kerala's Sneha finished third with a timing of 53.51.
