Noida (Uttar Pradesh) [India], Karnataka Police on Thursday notified YouTuber Ajeet Bharti in connection with a case filed against him in Bengaluru for his comments on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

The FIR was registered on a complaint lodged by Karnataka Congress leader BK Bopanna at the High Grounds police station in Bengaluru.

Bopanna alleged that Bharti, in a video published in 'X', claimed that Rahul Gandhi was planning to rebuild the Babri Masjid in place of the newly inaugurated Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

Talking about the Karnataka Police serving him a notice, YouTuber Ajeet Bharti said that the notice said that within 7 days he had to go to a certain police station in Bengaluru and cooperate in the investigation.

He added that if the court does not grant him relief within 7 days, he will go and join the investigation.

"The thing is, 2-3 days ago an FIR was lodged against me under 153A, 505(2). Today the Karnataka police came to my house and said they have come to inform me... I informed the police station local. and I asked them: do you have any information about this? I told the local police that I don't think their intentions are correct because they had arrested journalists earlier on the pretext of giving notice... The Noida police came immediately. They took my signatures on some documents and left... The notice said that within 7 days I have to go to a certain police station in Bengaluru and cooperate in the investigation. The thing is that there is no scope for investigation in the case. has been filed...If I don't get relief from the court within 7 days, I will go and join the investigation," he told ANI.

On June 16, Bollywood actress and BJP MP from Mandi Kangana Ranaut came out in support of YouTuber Ajeet Bharti after he claimed that the Karnataka Congress had lodged an FIR against him for his comment on the leader of Congress, Rahul.

"Aap desi Johnny Depp ho aapko kuch nahi hone denge (You're a local Johnny Depp, you won't let anything happen to you)," Kangana Ranaut had said in a post on X.

Kangana Ranaut was replying to Ajeet Bharti's post where she said, "It was a moe-moe moment for me that yesterday I wrote that BJP was never by my side and today I got calls from both HMO and PMO that the problem is in their knowledge." and every activity is being monitored."
