The Assam CM held a road show in Malappuram, Kerala on Monday as part of the party's Lok Sabha election campaign. Speaking to ANI, CM Himanta said, "The Congress party is focused only on the community. BJP is focused on all communities. Congress has said that a community has the first right on the resources of the country.Aren't we taxpayers? The Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes and OBCs of these countries are not taxpayers. The resources of this country are with one community. We said that the first right on the resources of this country belongs to the youth, women, SC, ST, farmers and toiling masses.'' This comes amid the political controversy that arose after Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized the Congress party. . On former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's earlier comment about minorities having the first right on the country's resources, he said, "When they (Congress) were in the government, they had said that Muslims have the first right on India's resources."Therefore, they will distribute this wealth (gold wealth) among people with more children, among illegal immigrants...
