Forest officials rescued 120 hog deer, three swamp deer, two cubs each of rhinoceros, sambar, elephant and scops owl and one each of Indian rabbit, rhesus macaque, otter and a wild cat.

Currently, 7 animals are under medical care while 111 others have been released after treatment, the official said.

The park has been experiencing its worst floods in recent years, with the last large-scale disaster occurring in 2017 when more than 350 wildebeest were swept away by flood waters and hit by vehicles while on their way to the highlands through animal corridors. Died while migrating.
