Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh) [India], Janasena Party (JSP) President and Pithapuram MLA Pawan Kalyan took charge as Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, Environment, Forest and Science and Technology and Rural Water Supply.

State cabinet ministers, JSP leaders and officials were present.

Telugu Desam Party leader Chandrababu Naidu was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh along with his council of ministers on 12 June.

TDP had contested Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections as well as Lok Sabha elections in partnership with BJP and Janasena Party.

The TDP-BJP-Janasena Party alliance registered a massive victory in the assembly as well as parliamentary elections.

TDP has 135 MLAs in Andhra Pradesh Assembly while Janasena Party has 21 and BJP has eight. The opposition YSR Congress Party has 11 MLAs.
