Ludhiana (Punjab), A 31-year-old man was burnt alive in a truck parked near a filling station at Bija in Ludhiana district of Punjab. Police gave this information on Saturday.

Police have not yet been able to find out how the truck caught fire. The driver stopped the truck at a filling station overnight.

Police said filling station employees found the truck burning in the early hours of Saturday.

The driver was not aware of the fire. He said that the filling station employees tried to break the glass of the truck, but by then the fire had engulfed the vehicle and the driver burnt to death.

Superintendent of Police Tarun Ratan said the victim has been identified as Sanji Kumar of Garhshankar, Hoshiarpur.

Police said that the footage of CCTV cameras installed at the filling station has been captured.
