Bengaluru: Suspended JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna, facing allegations of sexual assault against several women, is extending full cooperation to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the cases against him and has requested that no media There should be no trial. The lawyer said on Friday.

Pointing out that Prajwal has been arrested in a case registered against him at Holenarasipura in Hassan district, lawyer Arun G said, one will have to wait to see what happens to the Hassan MP's bail plea pending before the court. Is.

The SIT arrested Prajwal in the early hours of Friday, minutes after he arrived here from Germany after midnight.

Arun said, "I went to talk to him. He has appealed to the media that he has come forward to cooperate in the investigation.Therefore he has requested that there should be no media trial. No unnecessary negative campaign should be carried out."

Talking to reporters after meeting Prajwal here, he said, Hassan MP will give full cooperation to the SIT.

"Prajwal said - I have come forward, the whole purpose of my coming before Bengaluru or the SIT is that I have to stick to my words. I have come forward.I will cooperate fully--these are his words," he added.

The lawyer said he had explained to Prajwal how the court procedures would work.

Asked whether Prajwal had reiterated his earlier statement about political conspiracy or vendetta against him, Arun said, "Whatever he has said I have already stated in the media. I think I should not add or subtract anything from what I have already said.So I don't want to give any clarity on this."

He said, "I went there because he (Prajwal) had come. Today I got a call from the SIT. So I came and talked to him.Nothing more than that."

Asked if Prajwal was answering the SIT's questions, he said, "He is cooperating. They (the authorities) have not shared information about when he will be produced before the court."

On the bail plea pending before the court, the lawyer said, "Maybe you will have to wait and see what happens in the court. I would not like to talk about the fate of the petitions before the court...whatever it may be."We will definitely present our views before the court."

Prajwal had filed an anticipatory bail plea in the Principal City Sessions Court for Elected Representatives on May 29, which had issued notice to the SIT to file objections before posting the hearing on May 31.

In the first case registered against him at Holenarsipura Town police station in Hassan on April 28, Prajwal is accused of sexually assaulting a 47-year-old former maid. He has been listed as accused number two, while his father and Holenarsipura MLA, HD Revanna, is accused number one.

So far, three cases of sexual harassment have been registered against Prajwal.He is also accused of rape.
