ISLAMABAD [Pakistan], At least two people were killed and five others injured after a roadside landmine exploded in Pakistan's central Kurram area, ARY News reported.

According to information, the explosion occurred on Korham Road. The condition of four people among the injured is critical. According to 1122 rescue officials, the bodies and injured people were taken to the nearest hospital.

Earlier, at least two, including a police constable, were injured in an explosion in Kulachi tehsil of Dera Ismail Khan. According to ARY News report, the blast occurred on the road when the DSP and other policemen were going for their polio duty.

According to police officials, the driver of the Special Forces and a constable were injured in the blast, while a bomb disposal squad reached the site and reviewed the situation, ARY News reported.

Earlier, at least one person was killed and 20 others were injured in a twin landmine blast near Thaikedar Naddi in Balochistan's Duki district.

The first blast occurred when a truck hit a landmine, followed by the second when people arrived at the scene. Police officials said one person was killed and 17 others were injured in two landmine blasts. The injured are being taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
