The suspects, Bilal, Syed Abid and Gufran, from Gujarat district, were caught while trying to flee from Gwadar to Iran.

The operation took place ten days after three ANF officers were shot dead in Domeli Mor area of ​​Jhelum.

It is important to note that on June 12, three Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) personnel were martyred in a shootout with suspected drug smugglers at the Turki toll plaza in Jhelum.

According to the statement of the officials, the suspects were traveling from Rawalpindi towards Lahore on GT Road when they were stopped at the toll plaza.

When stopped, the suspects opened fire on the ANF team, resulting in the martyrdom of three personnel including Head Constable Gulzar, Zeeshan and Mazhar.

According to ARY News, police have arrested one suspect, while two others fled the scene and hid in the nearby hills.

Police officials said the vehicle used by the suspects has been shifted to Dina police station for additional investigation. Also, a search operation is going on to catch the fleeing suspects.
