New Delhi: State-owned Power Grid Corporation of India's board on Wednesday approved a proposal to raise up to Rs 12,000 by issuing bonds in one or more tranches in 2024-25.
"The Committee of Directors for the Bonds in its meeting held today i.e. April 17, 2024 approved the issuance of the Bonds in the form of unsecured, non-convertible non-cumulative, redeemable, taxable PowerGrid Bond Issue during FY 2024-2 in one or “Approved additional tranches/series of up to Rs 12,000 crore,” the BSE filing said.
Power Grid Corporation is the country's largest electric transmission utility. It operates 86 percent of the inter-regional network.
It is engaged in large scale transmission of electricity in all the states of the country.
