Erode (Tamil Nadu), A fire broke out at a private hardware shop-cum-warehouse on Sathyamangalam Road here on Thursday morning. Police said no one was injured in the incident.
According to the police, around 10.20 am people saw thick black smoke coming out of the shop.
On receiving the information, fire and rescue service personnel reached the spot with fire engines and controlled the fire after two hours of effort.
Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Prohibition and Excise S Muthusamy, Erode District Collector Raja Gopal Sunkara and police officials visited the spot and were briefed by fire officials about the incident.
