Washington, Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential candidate, offered his rival and current president Joe Biden the opportunity to “redeem himself in front of the entire world” through a debate this week and at the same time challenged him to a round of golf.

Trump's challenges to Biden, 81, came as he was feeling quite confident after his first debate against the president late last month.

"I'm officially offering Joe the chance to redeem himself in front of the entire world," Trump, 78, said at a campaign rally in Florida.

“Let's have another debate this week so sleepy Joe Biden can show everyone that he has what it takes to be president,” he said.

“But this time he will be man to man, without moderators or restrictions. “Just name the place, anytime, anywhere,” Trump added.

Biden, the Democratic candidate, performed poorly in the June 27 presidential debate in Atlanta, after which even his own party colleagues are calling for him to drop out of the race. Biden has rejected such calls.

At the same rally, Trump challenged Biden to an 18-hole game of golf.

"I'm also officially challenging Joe to an 18-hole round of golf right here," he said.

“If he wins, I will donate to the charity of his choice, any charity he wants, $1 million. And I bet you he doesn't accept the offer. … What that party will do is demonstrate that Joe is, in fact, all talk and no action,” Trump said.

Biden's campaign has rejected both challenges.

“Joe Biden has no time for Donald Trump's strange antics: he is busy leading America and defending the free world. Donald Trump is a liar, a convict and a fraud only to himself, which is normal,” said Biden-Harris 2024 spokesman James Singer.

“Donald Trump has not been seen in public for 12 days; He now invites fictional serial killers to dinner, mocks little Marco Rubio, praises Project 2025 architect Tom Homan, and challenges the president of the United States to a game of golf. “We would challenge Donald Trump to create jobs, but he lost 3 million,” he said.
