Thiruvananthapuram, Union Minister of State for Tourism and Petroleum Suresh Gopi interacted warmly with children during the Yoga Day celebrations held at Kovalam Arts and Crafts Village here on Friday.

When it suddenly rained during the program, Gopi chose to get wet with the children.

Pausing his speech on the benefits of yoga, the actor-cum-politician offered to end his speech quickly so that no one gets wet, but the children said no.

After this he continued speaking without an umbrella to protect himself from the rain.

He said, "Are you ready to take a bath? Otherwise, I can close it in two lines and you all will get a printout of the script (speech)."

However, the children said they didn't mind getting wet, to which he replied, "Okay. I like it."

He also signaled the policeman holding an umbrella over him to move away, saying, "I will take it down too."

The video went viral on social media, drawing mixed reactions from the public, with many praising the BJP leader while others criticized him for wetting children.
