Jaipur, On the occasion of World Heritage Day on Thursday, a wax statue of cricketer Virat Kohli was unveiled in Jaipur Museum.

Anoop Srivastava, founder director of the museum, said that for the last one year there was a huge demand from tourists, especially children and youth, to make a statue of Kohli.

"He was of the strong opinion that Kohli's statue should be in a museum. The statue was unveiled today on World Heritage Day," he said.

The museum, located in the Nahargarh Fort complex, already has 44 wax statues, including those of cricketers Sachin Tendulkar and Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

This statue weighing 35 kg has been prepared in about two months.

The museum also has statues of Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, APJ Abdu Kalam, Subhash Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, Kalpana Chawla, Amitabh Bachchan and Mother Teresa.
