New York, USA batsman Aaron Jones on Tuesday said playing against Indian superstars like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in the T20 World Cup will be exciting, not intimidating.

Both the teams will face each other in the Group A match here on Wednesday.

Both India and USA have won two games each so far, adding more excitement to the contest.

“It's really exciting, growing up as a kid, I always wanted to play against the best players in the world. I'm definitely going to get the opportunity to do that now and it's exciting for me, I Don't want to say scary thing," Jones said in the pre-match press conference."I'm excited to play against him and talk to him. Of course, to beat him," he said.

Jones said the Indian-origin players in the US camp, who have played cricket with some of the current Indian players at some point in their lives, will also be excited to link up with their former teammates.

“To be honest, they are very excited. This is the first time USA will play against India.A lot of the guys in our team are from India, they've actually played against and with a lot of guys in the past, so they'll definitely (be) definitely excited to play against some friends," They said.

Jones also expressed hope that after this World Cup, cricket will get a bigger place in the hearts of American sports fans.

"Cricket being one of the biggest sports in the world, it is only a matter of time for the majority of people to join in," he said.

"America is a place where people love sports. Obviously, this World Cup is going to open a lot of people's eyes and then in a few years, you have cricket in the Olympics – that's a huge thing, too.I think everything is growing right now,” he said.
