New Delhi, National Award-winning actor Allu Arjun celebrated the 20th anniversary of his blockbuster film "Arya" on Tuesday.

The 2004 film was a major milestone in Arjun's career after he debuted in Telugu cinema with 2003's "Gangotri".

The 42-year-old star took to the social media platform

"Arya", in which Arjun played the lead hero, an independent minded man who falls in love with a girl named Geeta, was the directorial debut of popular filmmaker Sukumar.

The actor and filmmaker later collaborated for the 2009 film "Arya 2", also starring Kajal Aggarwal and Navdeep.

After the "Arya" films, Arjun and Sukumar reunited for the 2021 blockbuster "Pushpa 1: The Rise", which became one of the biggest money-spinners of the year with earnings of over Rs 350 crore. .

The film depicts the rise of a low-paid laborer (played by Arjun) in a smuggling syndicate of red sandalwood, a rare wood that grows only in the Seshachalam hills of the state of Andhra Pradesh.

The duo is currently waiting for "Pushpa 2: The Rule", which is currently scheduled to release on August 15.
