The star told The New Yorker: “They're all different experiences. Everyone's mother is different. When I fell in love or got married, I originally didn't think it would happen, it just happened.'

Cage said: "So every child is different. Attention levels are different."

The actor shares Weston with his former partner Christina Fulton, Kal-El with his third wife Alice Kim, and August with his fifth wife Riko Shibata.

Cage noted that he is worried about his "very sweet" 22-month-old daughter, saying, "So it's different levels of anxiety and protection and taking it to extremes."

According to the report of People.com, he also said that becoming a father is inherent in his personality.

"Being a father, it's not an art, it's... how do I put it? It's like breathing. Everything is about that. You know, I can make a movie or I can't make it. I can't stop being a father. With her, it's my existence," he said.

The actor welcomed his eldest son Weston with his girlfriend Fulton in December 1990.

In a 2015 interview, Cage called Weston a "complete artist".

"He can do all the things I dream of doing...compose, sing, act, sculpt and cook, and now he's a loving father," she said.

"Seeing my son with his grandson is as close to a sense of joyful closure as I've ever felt."
