Amritsar: BJP chief J.P. Nadda on Thursday termed India Bloc as a group of parties steeped in corruption and said that many leaders of the opposition alliance are either in jail or out on bail.

On the last day of campaigning for the last phase of the Lok Sabha elections, Nadda addressed public meetings in Amritsar and Faridkot in support of the party candidates.

Accusing the opposition parties of promoting dynasty politics, he also alleged that they are not concerned about the people.

He said, "India Bloc parties are steeped in corruption."

Nadda also held a road show in Anandpur Sahib parliamentary constituency.

From Amritsar, BJP has fielded former diplomat Taranjit Singh Sandhu, while Hans Raj Hans is the candidate from Faridkot.Subhash Sharma is the party's candidate from Anandpur Sahib.

Nadda also targeted the Congress, saying that they kept the 'One Rank, One Pension' initiative pending for four decades.

He said that after coming to power, the Modi government gave Rs 1.25 lakh crore for the implementation of the OROP scheme and kept its promise to the soldiers.

Nadda also said that the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor was opened during the Modi government.

He alleged that Congress missed the opportunity to secure Kartarpur Sahi from Pakistan after the 1971 war, when more than 90,000 Pakistani soldiers surrendered to India.The BJP chief also targeted Congress and AAP, saying they opposed the Citizenship Amendment Act.

He told the gathering to beware of Congress and AAP, alleging that these people would snatch reservation from Dalits and give it to Muslims. “Will you let that happen,” he asked.

He also said that AAP and Congress, both constituents of the India Bloc, were "pretending" to fight against each other in Punjab.

He said the "corrupt" AAP and Congress are friends in Delhi while they are "pretending" to fight against each other in Punjab.Talking about Amritsar, Nadda alleged that the ruling AAP has ruined the holy city.

Voting for all 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab will be held on June 1, the last phase of the ongoing general elections.
