New Delhi [India], Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Monday expressed grief over the death of 13 civilians in Jhalwar district near the Rajasthan-Rajgarh border on Sunday.

"Sad news has been received of the death of 13 citizens of Jhalawar district in an unfortunate road accident on Piplodi Road, Madhya Pradesh. My condolences are with the bereaved families of the deceased," the Rajasthan Chief Minister wrote in a post on Instagram.

The Chief Minister said that "necessary instructions have been given to senior officials of Rajasthan to coordinate with Madhya Pradesh officials to ensure delivery of bodies to the families of the deceased and proper treatment of the injured."

He said, "May Lord Shri Ram grant peace to the departed souls and speedy recovery to the civilians injured in this accident."

Thirteen people were killed and 15 injured when a tractor overturned near the Rajasthan-Rajgarh border late Sunday night, police said.

Police said the people traveling on the tractor were coming to Rajasthan to attend a wedding and the condition of two of those injured was critical.

"Some people from Rajasthan were coming to the state in a tractor to attend a wedding. The tractor overturned near Rajasthan-Rajgarh border, killing 13 people and injuring 15. Two people were in critical condition. And he has been admitted." In the hospital and we have referred him to Bhopal. The injured are being given proper treatment as per the government's instructions," Rajgarh Collector Harsh Dixit said while speaking to ANI.

Expressing grief, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said, "The injured are being treated at the district hospital in Rajgarh and some seriously injured patients have been referred to Bhopal... My deepest condolences are with the bereaved families." "Pray for the speedy recovery of the injured."
