Latur, Maharashtra Police in Latur have foiled a child marriage and registered a case against around 200 people, including the groom, relatives from both sides and guests, an official said on Thursday.

On June 30, after receiving information about child marriage taking place in Khadgaon Road area of ​​the city, the police took swift action.

Seeing the police at the venue, the guests started running here and there. He said that after it was confirmed that the bride was a minor, the police registered a case against about 200 people including the photographer and the cook.

He said that an FIR was registered under the Child Marriage Prohibition Act on the complaint of Alka Sanmukhrao of Childline NGO.
