Mumbai: Mumbai Police has arrested three people in connection with the death of a nine-year-old boy due to electric shock in a housing society in the western suburbs. An official gave this information on Monday.

Police on Saturday arrested the housing society president, secretary and an electrician in Goregaon for the incident that took place on April 14, the official said.

He told that the boy Aryaveer Chaudhary was playing with his friends in the basement of the building when he came in contact with the electric wire and died.

Based on the complaint of the boy's father, police registered a case under Indian Penal Code section 304A (causing death by negligence) and arrested three accused, the official said.
