India's largest automotive brand saw domestic passenger sales rise by 1,44,002 units last month. Last year in the same month it was 1,43,708 units.

The company reported combined sales of Alto and S-Presso models at 9,902 units. In May last year, it stood at a combined 12,236 units.

The combined sales figure of Baleno, Celerio, Dezire, Ignis, Swift, Tour S, WagonR models declined to 68,206 units in May 2023 from 71,419 units.

However, the SUV segment saw stronger growth compared to compact mini-segment cars.

Combined sales of Brezza, Grand Vitara, Ertiga, S-Cross and XL6 stood at 54,200 units last month, compared to 46,243 units in the same period last year.

Sales of Eeco model in May stood at 10,960 units, which was 12,818 units a year ago.

Light commercial vehicle Super Carry sales stood at 2,692 units as against 2,888 units in the same period last year.

Last month the company's exports were 17,367 units, which was 26,477 units in March 2023.
