In the opening game of the day, Hockey Bengal defeated Hockey Mizoram 1-1 in a tough match.

Despite Mizoram's early dominance and superior attacking prowess, it was Benga who seized the initiative. Shivani Kumari (18') took advantage of the gap in Mizoram's defense with a precise strike into the net during the second quarter to break the deadlock.

Despite creating several chances, Mizoram could not convert their chances, including four penalty corners, and failed to make a comeback in the match.

Odisha defeated Maharashtra

In the second match of the day, Hockey Association of Odisha defeated Hockey Maharashtra 2-1 in a thrilling match.

Odisha dominated from the start and created several chances but struggled to break the deadlock in the opening quarter.

However, their persistence paid off when Deepti Monica Toppo (23') scored from open play to give Odisha the lead. Despite Maharashtra's increasing attacking efforts, Sunita Kumari (51') managed to level the score with a good shot near the goal post.

But, Maharashtra's happiness did not last long as in the last moments, Karuna Minz (55') took advantage of the penalty corner to give Odisha a 2-1 win.
