The President is the Supreme Commander of the Defense Forces and in his post on Twitter, he said, “The attack by terrorists on a convoy of Army personnel in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir is a cowardly act that deserves condemnation and strong response.

“My thoughts are with the families of those brave men who laid down their lives in this ongoing war against terrorism in all its forms. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.”

Four former Chief Ministers of Jammu and Kashmir, including Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti, have unequivocally condemned the terrorist attack on the Army.

Dr Farooq Abdullah, in his condolence message, said that sponsoring terrorism will take Pakistan nowhere and the neighboring country "will have to stop terrorism."

Meanwhile, security forces have started all-round action against the conspirators of Kathua terror attack.

Top officials of the army and local police said that they will not keep quiet until the killers of the bravehearts are caught.
