New Delhi [India], during a debate on the motion of thanks to President Droupadi Murmu's speech, Awadhesh Prasad, Samajwadi Party MP from Faizabad, on Tuesday expressed disappointment over the absence of any mention of Ayodhya in his speech.

"I heard and watched the president's speech. I was very surprised that Ayodhya was not mentioned in his 29-page speech," Ella Prasad said.

She prasad further highlighted the poor condition of the road leading to the Ram Temple, stating that she feels as if all the dirt in the world has accumulated in Ayodhya.

"Just the day before yesterday I went to Ayodhya and the entire road was full of mud. Where our Prime Minister inaugurated a railway station named after Ayodhya six months ago, the boundary wall of that station collapsed," she Prasad said.

"The most unfortunate aspect is that pilgrims have to walk a kilometer from the station to see Ram Lalla, and this one kilometer stretch of road is so dirty that it seems as if all the dirt in the world has accumulated in Ayodhya. "It is a slum where Rs 35 million has been allocated for drainage, but no one knows where that money goes or how it is spent," he added.

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh on his part mentioned that compensation has also not been given to the poor.

Earlier on June 27, President Droupadi Murmu addressed the joint session of both Houses of Parliament.

Meanwhile, Congress MP KC Venugopal launched a scathing attack on the NDA government for multiple infrastructure failures and said that under the BJP government, "all buildings are under threat of collapsing".

The Congress leader said, "Delhi airport roof collapsed, Jabalpur airport roof collapsed, Rajkot airport canopy collapsed, road conditions in Ayodhya are bad, leaks at Ram Mandir, cracks on Mumbai port link road, three new bridges collapsed in Bihar, Pragati Maidan tunnel submerged, all these constructions during the NDA period have collapsed Under your government, every building is under threat of collapsing.”

The Congress leader also challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to probe into the alleged electoral bond scam and said a parliamentary committee inquiry would be initiated to probe the same.
