New Delhi [India], Tis Hazari Court of Delhi on Saturday extended the judicial custody of Bibhav Kumar for the next 14 days. After the expiry of his judicial custody, his appearance took place through video conferencing (VC).

He was sent to judicial custody on May 31 after being interrogated in the alleged assault case.

Metropolitan Magistrate Gaurav Goyal extended the judicial custody till July 6.

Accused's lawyer Karan Sharma appeared through video conferencing.

The court has directed to present the accused through video conferencing on the next date of hearing.

Earlier, an order was passed by the court on the application of the accused seeking direction to produce him through video conferencing for safety and security reasons.

He was arrested by Delhi Police on 18 May. Delhi Police had registered a case after receiving Swati Maliwal's complaint on May 16. The alleged attack took place on May 13.
