Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has approved an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh each for the families of those killed in the terror attack on a bus in Reasi district, an official spokesperson said on Monday.
Sinha also sanctioned Rs 50,000 for each of the injured, the spokesperson said.
On Sunday, terrorists opened fire on a bus carrying pilgrims in Reasi district, killing nine people and injuring 41 others.
The 53-seater bus going from Shiv Khori temple to Katra went off the road after being hit by bullets and fell into a deep gorge near Tariyath village in Poni area.
The spokesperson said that a control room has been set up by the district administration to provide all necessary assistance to the affected people.
The spokesperson said, efforts are on to kill the conspirators of the terrorist attack. 6/2/2024 DV
