New Delhi, Enterprise communications firm Route Mobile on Monday said it has partnered with Bilesi e Solutions to provide WhatsApp-based metro rail ticketing services in Nagpur, Hyderabad and Pune.

Currently, there are active metro services in 15 Indian cities, and Route Mobile has now enabled WhatsApp-based ticketing services for four of them, including Delhi Metro.

The company first started service for Delhi Metro in 2023.

To avail the service, users need to chat with Metro's official WhatsApp account, select 'from' and 'to' stations, specify the ticket quantity and make payment through the preferred method. On successful transactions, users will receive QR tickets in the form of a WhatsApp link.

Shares of Route Mobile closed 13.59 per cent higher at Rs 1,737 on BSE.
