Due to continuous rains in Kota for the last two days, the water level of Parvati river has increased, due to which the road connecting Sheopur and Gwalior of MP has been closed.

The Meteorological Department said that the highest rainfall was recorded in Baran district (195 mm), while 71 mm rainfall was recorded in Parbatsar and Nagaur.

In the last 24 hours, 155 mm rainfall occurred in Deoli of Tonk, 144 mm in Malpura, 144 mm in Piplu, 137 mm in Tonk tehsil, 130 mm in Aligarh, 126 mm in Todaraisingh and 115 mm in Nagarfort.

Meanwhile, meteorological department officials have warned of heavy to very heavy rain in the state till July 8.

Further heavy rain has been predicted in East Rajasthan on 9th and 10th July.
