Jaipur, Rajasthan Police on Tuesday warned its personnel of strict departmental action if they post videos, reels or stories on social media that are not related to police work but show them in uniform.

Rajasthan Police Director General UR Sahu has given instructions in this regard to police officers of all the districts.

Sahu said it is against the rules for police personnel in uniform to post or upload their videos, reels and stories, which have no connection with police work.

“This adversely affects the dignity and image of the department,” he said.

He said that the controlling officer should ensure strict action against the personnel posting such posts.

Sahu has directed all the Superintendents of Police, Commandants and other police officers of the state that in future no policeman will post any kind of video, reel, story on social media platforms except for police related work.

"Police uniform is a symbol of commitment, dedication and accountability towards the public. We should exercise utmost care and seriousness while using it."

Broadcasting inappropriate content in uniform is not only a sign of indiscipline, but it also undermines trust among the public,'' he said in the direction.
