Kota (Rajasthan) Two people were killed when their car collided with a divider on the under-construction Delhi-Mumbai Greenfield Expressway in Bundi district, police said on Thursday.

Police station in-charge Subhash Sharma said that the accident happened near Balapura village of Lakheri police station area of ​​Bundi district at around 11 pm on Wednesday night.

He told that the collision was so strong that the front part of the car was completely damaged and the bodies of both of them got trapped in it.

He told that on receiving information about the accident, the police reached the spot and took both the people out of the car and took them to the Community Health Center of Lakheri, where the doctors declared both of them dead.

The deceased were identified as Dhirendra Kumar Saxena (43) and Narendra Singh Jadon alias Nettu (28), both residents of Kota city, the station in-charge said.

He told that both were going from Kota to Hathras in Uttar Pradesh.

The officer said that the police handed over the body to the concerned family members after the postmortem on Thursday morning and registered the case.

The expressway is under construction and has not yet been opened to commuters, he said, although some drivers take to the road occasionally.
