Students held a march outside the Congress office here to protest against the redistribution of funds proposed by its top leaders.

Hundreds of students marched on the streets and raised slogans like 'Youth for developed India' and 'It will not work, Congress's arbitrary will will not work'.

The youth also carried placards to show their disapproval of Congress's views on wealth redistribution and inheritance tax.

One of the women protesters said, "Wealth redistribution is an oppressive move for women as they will be harmed in the process", while another said that "Congress is giving the order to further its ulterior motives".

Many expressed strong concerns over legislating an inheritance tax to "confiscate their hard-earned money and redistribute it to the weaker sections". Notably, the idea of inheritance tax was introduced by senior Congressman and close to the Gandhi family Sam Pitroda.

“Why should anyone have the right to take away our wealth built over a period of hard work and time?” A protestor said while expressing his anger.

It is being told that more than 700 students participated in the protest march.
