Nagpur: Three youths who had studied only till Class 10 set up an IT solutions company and allegedly duped a Nagpur resident of Rs 5 lakh in an online fraud, following which they were arrested from Mumbai, a police officer said on Sunday. Said.

Nagpur Cyber ​​Police officer said the arrested persons are Atul Indrapati Singh (32) of Virar, Palghar, Neeraj Shamkumar Choubey (26) of Nalasopara and Vikas Meghlal Sao (23) of Dahisar.

According to the police, the trio recently set up a company named Samarth IT Solutions and listed their contact details on Google. In May, Atul Uike, a resident of Mahal area in Nagpur, faced problems with the PhonePe app on his mobile device. He searched customer service contact information on Google and found the number listed by Samarth IT Solutions.

Following the instructions given, Uike made a video call during which the fraudsters manipulated his settings and promised that the app would start working by night, the officer said.

Over the next two days, a total of Rs 5 lakh was transferred from his account in three transactions of Rs 1.49 lakh, Rs 1.99 lakh and Rs 1.49 lakh, following which Uike lodged a complaint with the cyber police, following which a case was registered. The officer said, arrest of fraudsters.
