New Delhi, From glorifying candidates' roots and family legacies to highlighting their personality traits, playful campaign songs this election season have struck a chord with voters here with liberal use of catchy phrases in local dialects.

The dialects and languages ​​used in these songs – from Hindi and Bhojpuri to Haryanvi and Punjabi – reflect the linguistic and cultural diversity of the national capital, which is home to people from all parts of the country.

"Phir Se Modiji Ki Sarkar Dekhna Chahusu" (Want to see Modi government once again) is a Haryanvi song which is playing a lot in the rallies of BJ candidates.

BJP's New Delhi candidate Bansuri Swaraj, daughter of late leader Sushma Swaraj, has also composed a song, paying tribute to her mother and making a strong appeal to the voters.The song begins with "Modiji ko jeetna hai, bansuriji ko lana hai."

Congress has fielded Kanhaiya Kumar from North East Delhi Lok Sabha seat, where he is contesting against BJP candidate Manoj Tiwari.

It seems that the battle between Bhojpuri actor and singer Tiwari and Kumar is being fought through musical instruments.
