Doda (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], A constable of the Special Operations Group (SOG) was injured in a fresh encounter between security forces and terrorists in Gandoh area of Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir. Kashmir Police.

The latest encounter started after a series of terrorist attacks in the region in the last few days.
Jammu and Kashmir region is witnessing an increase in violence with three significant attacks: Reasi terror attack, Kathua terror attack and Doda terror attack.
The series of attacks began on June 9, when terrorists attacked a bus in Reasi, causing it to fall into a ditch. At least 9 pilgrims died and 42 others were injured in this tragic incident.
Days later, villagers in Kathua's Hiranagar area reported hearing gunshots on Tuesday. After this, on the same night, a security check post was attacked in Chhatragala area.
The encounter in Doda was followed by an exchange of fire between terrorists and security forces, in which five soldiers and a sub-divisional special police officer (SDPO) were injured.
