Officials said the leopard attacked people in Nasrullahpora area of ​​the district when they were working on agricultural land.

"After the attack, local people reached the spot and immediately took all the injured to the nearest hospital, where doctors referred the injured to Srinagar for specialized treatment," officials said.

A wildlife department official said the leopard was later killed.

Man-animal conflict has been on the rise in Kashmir ever since shooting of wild animals was banned and due to increasing human population, animal habitats are also being encroached upon by humans.
