Thane: A two-year-old child was injured when a part of ceiling plaster fell on a building in Maharashtra's Thane district on Monday. A civil officer gave this information.

The incident took place in the early hours of the day in a 40-year-old building in Padwal Nagar area of ​​Wagle Estate, the official said.

Civil disaster management cell chief Yasin Tadvi said local firefighters and RDMC teams reached the spot, cleared the debris and removed the remaining portion of the roof.

A part of ceiling plaster fell in a flat on the third floor of the building and a child was injured, he said.

The official said that the four-storey building has been kept in dangerous category.
