Hyderabad, Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Monday met the Chenchu ​​tribal woman who was allegedly tortured for a week by four men in Nagarkurnool district and assured that the government will take care of medical treatment besides providing other help. .

Vikramark met the woman at the government-run Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) here.

The woman, who was initially treated at a government hospital in Nagarkurnool district, was shifted to NIMS for better treatment.

Expressing grief over the attack on the 27-year-old woman, Vikramarka said the government will take care of her treatment till she recovers completely.

If they do not have a house, the government will provide them a house under Indiramma Poor People's Housing, education in a state-run social welfare school for their children and also land for farming, he said.

Noting that the accused have already been sent to jail on remand, the Deputy Chief Minister said the government will take strict action after obtaining complete information about the incident.

Vikramarka was also accompanied by state Excise Minister Jupalli Krishna Rao, who had earlier met him at the Nagarkurnool hospital.

On June 22, police said four men were arrested for allegedly harassing a Chenchu ​​tribal woman when she did not turn up for work on agricultural land.

The woman was attacked by four accused, including her sister and brother-in-law, in Molachintlapalli village in Nagarkurnool district. He was rescued after some villagers raised the matter with the police.
