The Chief Minister said such videos of 1.5-2 minutes duration should feature the stars of films, for which filmmakers apply for filming permits or approach the government to improve movie ticket rates.

He made the announcement after flagging off new vehicles of Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau and Telangana Cyber ​​Security Bureau.

The Chief Minister regretted that film personalities are not fulfilling their social responsibility.

"When their new movies are released, they go to the government to get the GOs to increase the ticket rates, but my government feels that they are not fulfilling their social responsibility to control social problems like cybercrime and drug abuse," he said. he.

He asked officials that if film personalities approach the government with requests to improve ticket rates, they should be asked to make videos on drug control and cybercrimes with the stars of the films in question.

“This is the precondition. I am giving clear instructions to my officials. No matter how big they are, if they come to us with a request, they should be asked to make one-and-a-half to two-minute videos with stars from the same film,” he said.

He suggested that the same preconditions be applied to film shooting permits.

He mentioned that the shoots of many films take place in and around Hyderabad, especially within the limits of Cyberabad and Rachakonda police commissionerates.

The Chief Minister said that only those who make videos on social issues should be given necessary facilities. He said giving back to society was the responsibility of film personalities.

Stating that the menace of drugs and cyber security are destroying the society, he said that saving the society is the responsibility of the film industry.

He thanked megastar Chiranjeevi for voluntarily coming forward to make a video for drug control and participating in a campaign to create awareness in the society.

The Chief Minister also directed the management of all cinema halls in the state to compulsorily screen videos on drug control and cyber crime for free before the screening of the film.

He asked the Information and Public Relations and Police departments to convene a meeting of film personalities and the management of cinema halls to present the government's proposal to them. He said he would later meet them to explain the government's thinking and policy.

Revanth Reddy assured all support to the Police Department for effective discharge of its duties. He was all praise for the cybercrime team for checking the crimes.

He expressed concern about the growing menace of drugs and said it was ruining families and society.

He said drug addicts are committing crimes under the influence of Ganja (Cannabis). Narcotics are the main reason for the increase in violence against children.

The Chief Minister said the government would give promotions to those officers who worked effectively in drug control. A bill in this regard will be passed after a debate in the Assembly.

He called on the youth not to become drug addicts and to be strong enough to face problems and challenges.
