Given Telangana's extensive borders with neighboring states, he highlighted the importance of focusing more on the security of the state. To combat left-wing extremism in Telangana, the Chief Minister requested establishment of CRPF JTF camps at Charla Mandal village in Kondavai in Bhadradri Kothagudem district and Alubaka village in Venkatapuram Mandal in the Mulugu district.

Revanth Reddy also sought release of Rs 18.31 crore, pending for the last four years, which constitutes 60 per cent of the core share of SPOs (Special Police Officers). He also highlighted the difficulty of adhering to the rule of recruiting only ex-servicemen and ex-police officers as SPOs in Maoist-affected areas as such personnel are not easily available.
